I’ve never liked working out. There, I said it.
So, not surprisingly, it’s been tough to try to get into a workout routine now that I’m 30 and gravity has officially made itself known.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had the “college 10” and the “living in NY during my 20s, eating cheap deli grilled cheeses” extra few, yet not until 28 hit did it become difficult to shed those little extras that yo-yo in and out of most women’s lives and figures. In sum – I was lucky.
Now, I’ve decided to do the adult thing and force my ever resistant self to “woman” up and workout. Not to try to look like a skinny 22 year old again, but to embrace and tone the lovely adult bod that is mine. Making this idea actually palatable and even enticing, is the fresh, fashion forward line of athletic wear out of Austin, Outdoor Voices.
Outdoor Voices delights the minimalist in me with a beautiful palette of muted hues in clean cuts and geometric lines, in heathered leggings, crop tops, sweats, sports bras and more. Mix and match charcoal with sea foam or oatmeal with pale blue, or buy a monochromatic kit – in any pairing you will be a yummy fitness-y dream.
Oh, and your dude can sport some OV too. So, enjoy being the most stylishly fit couple or single on your block while congratulating yourself on getting outside and breaking that sweat.
